It's been a while!

This one's for BFS. He's back at work and has been showing me up big style in the 'send pics of your kids to your hard working partner offshore' stakes!

Today started out as a typical Saturday. Our freshly potty trained CC presented me with a John Wayne style walk this morning indicating that he had made a deposit in his pants. I soon discovered why the deposit wasn't in the loo where it belonged - it had the consistency of a cow pat and I suspected that an unexpected follow through was to blame.  Commence the attempt to peel off said pants without smothering any bare flesh in shite. I have to say I was unsuccessful - and all this before 7:45am!

The remainder of the morning went by without any further technical hitches (oh apart from a second change of pants as CC thought he was capable of wiping his own shite smeared arse and pulled his pants up before I could stop him!)

I made the boys run floppy lugs ragged before we headed put to swimming so she'd get a good sleep and hopefully not miss us too much.

I have to confess there was an alteripe motive for the tired hound - I decided after 5 years of promising to take the boys to the library and join them up. I discreetly asked the librarian before we went in how many books they could take out - 12!!! I still don't know if that was each or between them, but I told them they could get 2 each ;0)

Oh my word, never mind kid in a sweetie shop - for my book-loving BB he must have thought he had fallen asleep and woken in bookie heaven. He actually didn't know what to do with himself due to the choice on offer. Goodness knows how he'd cope if I took him to the library up in the 'Deen. Thank goodness it closed at 1 and we were limited for time as I think he could have browsed all day 'as I just have so many different things I'm interested in'! At one point he even stopped at an encyclopedia of ancient history....

CC quickly chose a book, LL was close behind with his two and BB finally plumped on a recommendation from his pal, and another which he recognised from a book he already had. For some reason he was concerned he wouldn't manage to finish them before they were due back (he has already read the first 196 of one book and he's only had it about 3 hours). Somehow I don't think that'll be an issue. I even picked up a cheeky photography book for myself from the display they had by the reception - in fact I could have taken a few.

After lunch of tommy soup and rusty bread sandwiches, a pile of fruit and yoghurt (whilst poring over their books) we all went out for a walk with FL.

We ventured somewhere new to keep it interesting for FL. The sun even peeped through so I attempted some pics - all on the phone - so excuse the quality (all the more shocking for the lack of posts as it really should be easy to take pics and upload....)

CC doesn't have a weirdly shaped head - he just insisted on wedging his hat on over two hoods (his jumper and coat!)

BB struck a pose and asked for this pic to be taken!

LL's turn to strike a pose.

A quick stop to throw stones in the river and then it was time to go home.

CC stopped for a quick bounce (still hanging onto his library book) before we went in to snuggle up and watch Monsters University.

Not a bad day all around.
