Some things can't help but make you laugh.

For example - a conversation held with BB today went something like this

(he is conspicuously sitting with his back to me on the plaframe and fiddling.....)

Me: What are you doing (BB)?

BB: I don't know

Me: Are you eating something?

BB: Yes, my bogie Mummy!

It was hard to hide my laughter........

It never ceases to amaze me the small things that will keep a child amused. BB strutted up to me proud as punch and presented both myself and LL with a 'chuckie' each (small stone). We were duly informed not to eat them as 'stones are not for eating'! He went to all the trouble of choosing a special one each for us and couldn't hide the joy in his cheeky little chops!

The small things

I tried a little photo session with LL today whilst his big brother was at playgroup - remind me not to try that again! I just couldn't get him to stay still at all. I'm sure I had more joy with BB at that age? Ach - maybe not.

.BB.

Finding it harder and harder to capture BB on film.

.LL.

Now here's an irony......

I went into Markies yesterday to buy knickers to make my tummy look smaller - and left with a pack of four cupcakes!

Last night feed?

Ach - It may be, but maybe not!!!!

I decided today that LL would get his last bedtime feed from me tonight (which would have him down to just one in the morning), but there are a couple of good reasons to hold off until the weekend.....

The first being that I really wanted a picture (Dinna fret - I'll spare you all by not posting it, it's a personal thing for me. AND it doesn't show anything (of the boob that is!) it's more the view that I've had for the past 9 months whilst feeding my boy!) anyhoos, the other reason is that I have a wedding at the weekend for which my lovely hubby bought me a very nice dress. Problem being that due to my disproportionate body the top half needs a touch of filling out. I would normally have no problem tailoring this kind of thing (actually the reason that I happily purchased the frock knowing it was too big in the boobage area), however being such a 'nice' (ie pricey) dress from a 'nice' (ie pricey) shop, it's so well made it's practically indestructable!!! It took me about an hour just to unpick a few stitches to remove a strap! I have enough on this week to attempt this and make a hash because I'm rushed. I'd rather leave it until I have to time to devote properly to it.....sooooooooooo, If I leave dropping the feed until the weekend, then my boobs will continue to fill up all day and therefore expand in size right through to the evening! Only aiding in helping the dress to fit and therefore look better on!

Like my way of thinking?

Boy oh boy LL is going to be 9 months old on friday. Gosh talking of fridays, another thing I need to get done is catch up with all of his friday pics. This won't mean anything now - but all will become apparent in a few months time!

I've forgotten (once again) all of the great things I meant to blog. It's been busy busy busy. My evening net time has been taken up with researching pick-ups of all things! I've bought one on BFS's behalf (well he's paying- I just chose it!) so I hope he's happy enough with the choice, we get it when he comes home on tuesday. Now I've stopped looking at those I can maybe get back to looking at my pics. I feel like I've not sorted them in ages. (Probably because I've not!)

Once again it's 11pm and I've done nothing with my evening. Really must go and get some sleep before I get distracted with something else.

It's a jungle out there!

BFS has only been away a day and I had to get the lawnmower out! LL nearly got lost in the lawn......

Can you imagine what it would have been like if I'd left it until he came home?

Oh and - before you ask (BFS) - Yes I did water your tomatoes!!!

Woohoo - the sun is back!

Myself, BB and LL got out for a walk.......finally!

It's on days like this that I love where we stay!

I haven't even played with this pic.

Fave pic from today.....

Pretty much SOOC - only a 15% vignette. Lovely!

I do love my new camera and lens!

Too young to know better!

I'm a bit stunned as I've just had BB inform me that he hit his little brother! He told me with a smile on his face.

I'd just finished clearing up the kitchen after dinner when the revelation came to light. I came in the room and sat down and BB happily chanted 'I hit (LL)'. I repeated it back and asked if he'd hit him ( thinking I'd heard wrong). He said 'yes!', I asked where he hit him and I was informed 'on the head.........with a cow!'

Now what do you say to that?????

The cow in question is about 2" tall and made of plastic.

'Mmmmm, well that wasn't nice. Don't do that again!' was all I could muster.

Then I was told to leave the room (hence sneaking on to write this blog!)

I was going to tell how I'd found BB with his head stuck down the loo today - he'd been trying to flush his poos away just after the toilet had already been flushed, so all he was getting were the dribbly mini flushes that happen when the cistern is not yet full. I'd gone back to replace his potty seat and upon return caught him with his head down the pot checking to see if the poos had gone away! You can't say my boy isn't thorough.....Now where was that anti bac gel???

BFS went back to work today. So the DIY bug is back. Well out of neccesity rather than for pleasure this time! The carpet layers are coming tomorrow to lay LL's carpet, so I have a piece of 'skirting' to cut and attach before they come for the job (and the gripsticks to cut and lay too). We're out in the morning so the job has to get done today. Along with making a little top for a friends daughters birthday. It's all go......

23rd April!

LL's first shoes.....

Didn't note that LL got his first pair of cruising shoes on the 23rd April. He was taken to Clarks with BB and BFS when BB was getting a new pair. He was sized as he's now on the move, and was 2.5 G (same as his brother at the same age) so Daddy bought him a really cool pair of cruisers. (in 2.5G - whereas his bro got 3G for his first). I still don't class these as proper first shoes though as those he'll get when he's walking!

Missing soooo much.

12th May
I'm really struggling to get time to blog, and I feel as though many exciting things are passing us by. For example - today BB and LL had their first visit to the zoo. LL was oblivious - to him it was just another stroll in his pram, but BB was made up!!!! BFS mentioned it to him in the morning and the excitement was unbelieveable. By the time we'd made the 2 hour journey there BB was happily chanting along (like a stuck record) 'We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo - how about you, you, you'.....etc!

He was so taken by the 'stripey lion' (tiger) that we had to make a detour en route back to the car so that he could see it again - and lucky we did as the sleeping beast had now woken up and was on full parade for all of the adoring onlookers!!!

8th May
BFS and I also had our first night away from LL this weekend (in fact a full weekend away from both boys!) We headed down to the big smoke that is London for a weekend of debauchery and shopping! I was treated to the most beautiful meal I've had at Gordon Ramsays restaurant in Claridges no less, and feasted myself on six courses which included such culinery delights as fois gras and lobster. Mmmmmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it! - As far as the famous peeps spotting goes, we clocked Jenni Falconer at the airport and Simon Fuller and Slteve McManamon in Claridges (it still amuses BFS how star struck I get!!! lol)

I had the nicest of surprises too when BFS had arranged a surprise meet up with a very close (and heavily pregnant) friend of mine for some scoff in Chinatown. This did actually bring tears to my eyes as she stays in Cardiff and I didn't think there would be any chance of seeing her before the new arrival. He always seems to pull these things out of the bag at the least expected moments! Most pleasing!

As for the boys though - I don't think they missed us at all, and were great for my mum. So all in all a relaxing time for all of us!

What else?

7th May
LL's cot was moved down to the lower level as I had woken on a couple of occasions with him looking at me from over the top wailing as he could see me, but wasn't getting picked up! He's now very mobile - and although not crawling in the traditional sense, he can by hook or by crook get his bum to wherever he wants it to be - part commando style pulling on the arms accompanied by digging in of the toes and bum in the air forward motion!!!

There are still no teeth through.

BB is still good with the 'THUMBS!!!!' (well apart from when we came back after he'd had his grandma round his little finger for the weekend!) Oooooh - and the other day he decided to of his own accord head off to his potty by himself, pull down his breeks and pants by himself and then in private do a poo! This - if you've read the history of his poo problems is a HUGE breakthrough. Long may it continue!!!

I've probably got heaps more that I've missed - but it's a mini update. I've not even had time to go through my pictures - which is unheard of! Hopefully I'll get some posted soon.......
